“Earning any type of distinction under the state accountability system is commendable and should be a source of pride in that community,” said Micheal Williams, Texas Commissioner of Education.
All schools surrounding Falls at Imperial Oaks have surpassed the 2015 State Accountability Ratings, according to the reports released August 7th by the Texas Education Agency.
In addition to the ratings, distinction designations were awarded to campuses based on achievement on performance indicators compared to a group of 40 campuses of similar type, size and student demographics.
Birnham Woods Elementary has earned a distinction in the area of closing performance gaps for meeting the needs of identified lower performing student groups based on last year’s testing results.
Cox Intermediate has earned three distinctions for academic achievement in science, top 25 percentile for closing performance gaps, and top 25 percentile for student progress.
York Junior High has earned a distinction for academic achievement in mathematics this year.
Oak Ridge High School has earned a distinction for academic achievement in top 25 percentile for student progress.
