There are several locally owned and chain restaurants that have recently opened or are slated to open soon in The Woodlands area. Here are a handful of new eateries to consider trying out:
Dosey Doe Breakfast & BBQ is slated to open March 18 at 2626 Research Forest Blvd., The Woodlands. The new concept from Dosey Doe Inc., boasts breakfast favorites such as huevos rancheros and Southern staples, such as 16-hour oak smoked brisket, espresso barbecue ribs and Nashville fried chicken. The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and will offer happy hour deals seven days a week.
The Refuge Steakhouse & Bourbon Bar will celebrate its grand opening in Creekside Park March 18 at 8540 Creekside Forest Drive, Ste. C800, The Woodlands. The new concept from the owners of The Refuge Bar & Bistro on The Woodlands Waterway will offer premium wood-fired steaks, seafood and pastas, along with a large bourbon selection. The eatery is already taking reservations by phone and online.
CoCo Crepes, Waffles & Coffee is coming to The Woodlands in April at 6777 Woodlands Parkway, Ste. 214. The fifth Greater Houston area location will be located in the Indian Springs Shopping Center. In addition to crepes and waffles, the eatery also offers soups, salads, panini, gelato and sorbet as well as a variety of coffee and tea options.
Fuddruckers will open in Creekside Park in early April at 8510 Creekside Forest Drive, The Woodlands. The chain restaurant boasts hamburgers and other popular American fare, such as chicken sandwiches and salads.
Woodson’s Local Kitchen + Tap celebrated its grand opening March 11 at 2330 FM 1488, Conroe. The eatery offers craft cocktails, artisan fries, burgers and macaroni and cheese. Along with a full bar and flat-screen televisions, the venue also has an outdoor patio with corn hole and other patio games.
Fish and Camarón, a Mexican seafood restaurant based in The Woodlands, opened its second location in late February at 25219 Kuykendahl Road, Ste. G150, Tomball. The restaurant’s most popular dishes include ceviche—fish cooked in lime juice—pastor and chipotle tacos. Another popular dish is aguachiles, which consists of thin-sliced fish, shrimp or vegetables in homemade sauce and topped with lettuce, red onions and avocados.
